Prosthetic eye part 1
This girl of mine. This budding violinist, this serious negotiator, this lover of life, this beautiful, smart, laughing, cuddling wonderment of a girl showed a new side yesterday. As we went to the ocularist to get her "new" eye, Anya turned off the cooperation and turned the day into one big heap of mental and physical exhaustion for all involved. Some progress was made, but that is only due to the fact that the office manager, who happens to be the brother of the ocularist and a very nice man, has had many years of experience holding kids' heads while their parents hold their bodies. Anya received this treatment no less than three times yesterday. We had originally planned on her leaving with the prosthesis in place, but instead we will be making another trip there in a couple weeks.

Bummer :( As Will's preschool teachers once said, we "can't be perfect ALL the time" now can we? I hope the next visit is easier. Perhaps some cupcakes at the end of the tunnel would help?
Ohh sweetness,,,don't you just want to hug them more and more after days like that?
