Almost eight weeks

Have you heard me say it enough?  This summer has been wonderful.  We are just coming off of an action-filled week with a couple of Anya's favorite people in the world:  her cousins.  The week was jam-packed with fun events like camping, swimming, water world, swimming, painting pottery, swimming, going out for ice cream, and some more swimming.  Anya claimed early in the week that she wasn't going to take a bath the whole time Gus and Landrey were here because she needed to be with them.  She lasted six days before the chlorine build-up was too much for me to take, and I coerced her to take a shower and wash her hair.

This week is back to school and back to doctors as well.  We would have made it a full eight weeks without a doctor's appointment if Reese hadn't earned herself a trip to Urgent Care this past weekend.  The first of the upcoming appointments is later this week when we will head to Loveland for Anya to see a pediatric ophthalmologist.  Her other ophthalmologist recommended this, mostly to see if she needs a prescription for her left eye.  Right now her glasses have no prescription and are just for protection.  Although she has had her vision checked numerous times, it is always after being dilated and that skews the results greatly.  I hope that this will be an easy appointment for Anya.  At the very least, it will be nice to not have to drive so far and we get to go the other direction, so we'll get some new scenery.
