Expected and good

Reese's exam under anesthesia today produced good results.  She is still free and clear of tumors.  This may have been expected news, but no less wonderful to hear.  She amazed both Will and I in the hours leading up to her exam by being happy and playful.  She is often this way, but I did not anticipate that she would be after eight hours without food and only a brief nap.  Waking from her exam was a much different story. The upside of things is that her exam was so short, the anesthesiologist did not need to do an IV and merely used the mask.  The downside of this is that when it was over she woke very quickly, which made her disoriented and extremely upset.  After 45 minutes or so of hearing her scream, the nurse unhooked her from the machines and let us wander the halls with her and that helped to make her a bit happier.  Soon enough she was signing for crackers and ready to eat.
