Healing

Anya saw the surgeon yesterday for a post-op appointment. Everything looks great. There is still a bit of swelling that occasionally causes her discomfort with her glasses. That should hopefully recede in the next couple weeks, but could take as much as a couple months. The stitches will dissolve on their own but not for another week or so. Until they are completely gone, she needs to continue to be careful. She was given the green light to go back to PE class, provided she doesn't do anything too crazy.

The placement of the lid looks great. For now, her eyelid doesn't close, but it will. The silicone string that is in her eyelid takes some time to stretch out and settle into place. This was the case with her previous surgery as well. The surgeon was still beyond pleased with the outcome.
