Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We were all sporting our "I love a survivor" shirts the other day in honor of it. The back of the shirt is pictured on Reese above and the front is on all of us below. Look closely at Anya's and you will see that it is slightly different than the rest. If you have any interest in purchasing a shirt, let me know with a comment here or an email. Depending on how many are ordered, the price would be somewhere around $20-$28 plus shipping if needed. I'd love to give a portion of that to Curesearch, an organization that funds childhood cancer research.

Whether you want a shirt or not, this is the month to be aware and to help raise awareness about Childhood Cancer. The color for childhood cancer is gold, but each individual cancer has its own color. Retinoblastoma is white. The idea of having all childhood cancers together is to unify the cause - all childhood cancers are underfunded, all are heartbreaking. The goal is to make gold as recognizable for childhood cancer awareness as pink is for breast cancer awareness.
