Bluebird
Anya was a baby bluebird in the performance of Sleeping Beauty this past weekend. Yes, she was as fabulous as her costume is.
The week was entirely packed with extra rehearsals and dress rehearsals, and somehow we were so busy that her six month check-up with the ophthalmologist snuck up on us. We went today and were once again greeted with news of no new tumor growth in her left eye. The doctor noted that her eye has grown a bit, which is to be expected, though it likely won't grow much more. There is scar tissue from where the tumor was treated with the laser. That scar tissue can tug at the retina during growth, but he seemed very pleased that that is not the case with Anya. My favorite words out of his mouth were, "There are no areas of concern."
