Back to the surgeon

13 days post surgery

Tomorrow, we head back to the surgeon for a check on how Anya's eye is healing.  As of today, fifteen days post surgery, she has not opened her eye.  An email exchange with the surgeon last week informed us that this is normal with kids.  She has finished her course of oral antibiotics, but still has antibiotic ointment twice a day and wears a patch at night.  We are hopeful that tomorrow he may tell us that can be discontinued.  She does fine with it, but will be happy to not have to do it anymore.  The weather report calls for snow during the night and we are set to leave our house at 6:15 am.  Hopefully all will go smoothly, both with the drive as well as the appointment.
